oooooh well I was co-writing a mcu/star wars crossover for a while, but that eventually fell apart. I really did like the idea though! I think my other ideal cross over would be with something like the Arthurian tales, because it might be really beautiful.

6. First fic/pairing you wrote for? (If no pairing, describe the plot)
Are we counting the LOTR self insert stuff I wrote when I was like 6? Because that’d be the real first. I even typed it up incredibly slowly on an old windows running… idk, not even windows 98. It was about me joining the three hunters and having adventures with them in Middle Earth. If we’re not counting that, the probably WoT fic written on early message boards, mainly about Siuan Sanche’s early life.
8. Why do you choose to write?
I write rather compulsively. It’s an activity that lets me de-stress, and it’s a way of creating beauty in the world. (And by beauty, I mean not in the strictly “pretty” sense.) I’ve always had some artistic outlet in my life, and since I’m not spending 30-60 hours a week somehow involved in ballet anymore, writing has become my artistic thing. I don’t actually think I could live functionally without some sort of artistic outlet.
20. 4 sentences from your work that you’re proud of
[This is actually four lines!]
“So you wish I had saved myself? You wish that I had turned on you,
and risked having to live without you if Thanos succeeded in killing
you?”
“I so wish,” Thor admits. His blush is hot on his cheeks, but as no one can see it, and as he speaks to a ghost, it is no matter.
“Selfish. As always, you are selfish, Thor.” The words are harsh, but Loki chuckles as he says them.
“Yes. In this, I am,” Thor growls. “I have mourned you enough for one lifetime.”
–from Games with Ghosts
An old-timey drabble!
Send me a prompt and I’ll write you a fic which is exactly 100 words.
4. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?*
❤
Um… this one is really hard. My real NoTP is Sn*ly, from HP, but it’s not really a popular ship. So it’s fairly easy to avoid. The one problem is that it shows up a lot as a past pairing in my HP ships, and I tend to get frustrated if it’s treated as a good relationship.
The other one that comes to mind is Ob*kin. I’m SORRY!!! No shame on any of my friends who like it!!! I SWEAR! It just really, really doesn’t work for me. BUT I PROMISE NO HARD FEELINGS IF PEOPLE LOVE IT. (*runs and hides*) And, yes, it is popular.
(And, of course, Sam/J*ck from SG-1, but no one worries about that anymore)

1. What OTPs in your fandom do you just not get?
Hmmmmm. Well the first one that comes to mind is Bruc*/N*tasha. Their scene in Ragnarok was cute to me, but before that I felt absolutely nothing for them as a ship. The other one is H*nny. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll read it as a side pairing in an HP fic that I like, but other than that, it’s really not interesting to me.
3. Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?
Of course! If someone’s fandom opinions are making my experience significantly worse, I’ll unfollow them in a second. I obviously won’t if its just something we minorly disagree on and I enjoy the rest of the content they post, but if that opinion ends up being the majority of their content, or if they get really aggressive about it, then I don’t need to spend time making myself annoyed.
8. Have you received anon hate? What about?
LOL. YES. A lot. I’ve received anon hate about everything from using a beta reader (WTF?) to hate about the fact I’m Jewish and I need to keep my hands off of certain characters. I’ve gotten hate about being nice. I could go on and on.
19. What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom(s)?
One thing that carries over across a lot of my fandoms, but is easily the worst in k*lux: BNF discourse. SO SO SO TIRING.

A44. Best piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten.
@thethirstorder recently left me a comment on The Third Rule. One of the lines was “There’s something beautifully Shakespearean about the way that imagery fills their dialogue” which almost made me cry. ALSO YOU. You once commented “I literally cried from start to finish” on something, which made me smile, and also want to give you a hug.
48. Favorite genre to write in.
A tie between horror and drama, in the angst vein. I really enjoy reading horror, and writing it tends to be really fun for me, especially writing psychological horror. Writing angst is wonderfully cathartic, and I appreciate working through the emotions that lead to it.
50. Weirdest story

39. Do you base your characters of real people or not? If so, tell us about one.
You know, I’ve never even thought about doing this. Obviously, I take pieces of real people I know – their problems, their struggles – and put them into my fics. But I’ve never actually based a character on a single other person. The closest I’ve ever gotten are the parents in At The Edge Of Vision, but even then, all the parents are a sort of amalgamation of my own parents. I definitely tend to give POV characters some of my own issues, but they’re certainly never truly me.
46. ummm since 46 asks for a specific story, but 47 is stuck on the end of it, I’m gonna cheat and do 47.
Do you start with characters or plot when working on a new story?
This is hard. With fic, I obviously start with plot. Then I ask how the central theme of my plot would effect the characters that I already have. How would it change them, or how would they have to act to allow the plot to happen. For original fic, I definitely start with the characters, and then I come up with a plot, asking how the characters will grow and change, given that plot.
49. What do you find the hardest to write in a story, the beginning, the middle or the end?
The end. I don’t like stories to stop. I want them to keep going, their characters to keep growing. I want to know every little detail about their lives, what they have for breakfast, what they read in the morning. And it’s hard to stop myself from simply writing more and more, never truly coming to a conclusion. It’s actually one of the reasons I try to write shorter (3-7K) pieces – it challenges me and helps me grow as a writer.
