Ship ask: đź’¦ and đź’Ł

 💦 Ship that is taboo?
I’m gonna go with Jynnic for this one, and maybe Vadaphra? I feel like Vader ships are always a little “taboo” because unless it’s an AU, it’s definitely a warped sort of relationship, one that doesn’t quite fit into conventional terms. For Jynnic… well where do I start? I mean… there’s this inherent tinge of “I’m sleeping with Jyn because I can’t sleep with Galen” to me, and that makes it sort of taboo just to begin with. I love the ship though, because Jyn is such a strong woman, and she can definitely kick Krennic’s ass.

đź’Ł Ship that pisses you off?
Since I don’t think anyone would appreciate another Sn*ly rant on my blog… (LOL I don’t really think the last one was a rant, rather… just a little over the top). I think I’m gonna go with An*soka. The ship doesn’t actually piss me off per se, I just get super confused about whether something is friend art or ship art and then end up going on an endless search to try to find out and that is a lot of work. LOL. So really I’m just being lazy.

7. Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?
Well I’m gonna be honest. The S*pernatural fandom. Was my favorite, but… then things happened and I am generally not enthusiastic any more. Love my time spent in it though. In terms of ships though, I tend to stick with them once I fall in love with them. I’m pretty much stuck.

24. Would you recommend XXX to a friend? Why or why not?
Let me recommend Galennic to all friends. Super chill fandom, tragic backstory, practically canon (look if Luceno didn’t want it, he shouldn’t have had Orson scream Galen’s name to the sky). Also gorgeous art, really fun fics, and some great AUs. Also the actors are bros and super cute in their interview together.

26. Most shippable character?
ORSON KRENNIC. I ship Orson with Galen, Jyn, Max Veers, Tarkin, Brendol Hux, Me, that door over there, anything. He’s just so… shippable? With this lingering background of “well I’m only with you cause I can’t be with Galen” which hits my angst loving heart right in the feelz.

25. How would you end the current SW trilogy? Would you change the ending of Rogue One?

Man such a hard question. I haven’t even considered the ending of the new trilogy, because we don’t know what’s happening in TLJ. I’d love to see a resolution to the problem of the polar opposition between Light and Dark, Republic and Empire. Something that honored both perspectives, but synthesized them in a way that acknowledged that the world is more complicated that simply the Jedi and the users of the Dark Side.

I don’t know what that would look like – maybe a composite government, or even better, multiple governments coexisting peacefully. This would have to mean that Luke (and Kylo and Rey, and (hopefully) Finn) changed people’s perspectives on the Force a lot though, which would be hard.

As to RO, I LOVE THE ENDING. Obviously I wish people had lived, because they’re all my favorites, but I think it worked really well in terms of the story line, and I really appreciated each moment of the end.

1. What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?
Ummmm… Well, I have to admit that I haven’t been *quite* convinced of Thrawn/Hera yet. And I’m still not a fan of f*nnrey, even though I do get it. It just didn’t click with me, and I think that’s because I came out of the film shipping f*nnpoe so strongly. (I do really like jedist*rmpilot, so there is that). I also don’t really get h*taka, but I think that’s just my taste in power dynamics, and really nothing more.

14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom?
Ummmm I wouldn’t say that this is per say unpopular, but I think that some people in a certain sw new trilogy ship (*cough* kyluc *cough*) have lost sight of what makes fandom fun. It’s collaboration, appreciation for one another, and kindness – a group of people banding together to enjoy something. It’s not about popularity, or kudos count, or who thought about something first. That kind of thing just drags fandom down, rather than lifts it up.

20. What is the purest ship in the fandom?

Your art is magical. I appreciate how it rages from cute to emotionally gut wrenching, and I love it. You’re also so supportive – always there to say something when someone is upset, and always around to lend a hand. *gives you a giant hug*

❤ hello gorgeous. I’m honestly so happy that I know you, that I talk to you now, and that I can learn from you. You’re a role model – kind, caring, and understanding, no matter what you’re facing. You have such a positive outlook on life, and it’s one that I hope that I can imitate, at least some of the time. I also admire your openness, your ability to find meaning in your interactions with others, and your incredible contributions to those around you. ❤

You seem very devoted to the things you are passionate about. I really appreciate your taste in female actresses as well. I hope you can find a way to talk to more people in fandom, to start up conversations and hold your own. I think it will help you feel more comfortable.
